Lending Assistant

To assist the Lending/Loan Manager to ensure all paperwork from brokers are received within our SLA’s, by adhering to our KPI’s. This will be achieved by being organised, proactive and able to work with a CRM system to manage all third parties. A confident phone manner is essential to this role. You will need to establish positive relationships with all our internal parties and work closely with the Lending/ Loan Manager.

REPORTS TO: Specialist Product Team Leader or Head of Product

LOCATION: Tamworth

Key Responsibilities

  • To take ownership of the data quality of the submission of applications to variety lenders
  • Maintain excellent product and criteria knowledge
  • Identify changes to application and report to Lending Manager
  • Work towards agreed SLAs – both individually and in your team
  • Able to take ownership and drive delivery of performance
  • Adhere & embody all industry regulations and standards
  • To liaise with team manager on all issues

Skills, Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Previous experience of working in a regulated or specialist finance environment advantageous
  • Working to a high degree of accuracy – working with highly sensitive data/tasks including but not limited to Credit searches/DIP’s /land registry searches
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Collection and assessment of all supporting documentation, ensuring compliance with lender and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal including superb telephone manner
  • Ability to gain understanding of Product knowledge and/or regulation
  • Stakeholder management – relationship building with internal and external partners by maximising every interaction
  • Proven experience in providing excellent customer service and understanding of TCF
  • Ability to work with multiple systems
  • Excellent literary and numerical Skills
